Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Founded in 1931 by the creator of the cyclotron, Berkeley Lab is situated in the hills above the University of California, Berkeley near San Francisco Bay. Cross disciplinary teams of scientists carry out research in science and engineering at Berkeley Lab with a focus on high-energy physics.
